The initial challenge
Allinton partnered with First Page to increase online enquiries by ranking 50% of core keywords within a year through strategic SEO enhancements, content alignment and improved site structure.
The website faced extensive content cannibalisation, which reduced keyword clarity and ranking potential. Multiple pages were competing for similar search themes, making it harder for Google to identify the most relevant page for important industrial tool and product queries.
The campaign also operated in a competitive industrial tools space, where Google heavily favoured long-established competitors with stronger historical visibility and authority.
Site structure and internal navigation created another challenge. The existing structure limited search engine crawlability and ranking efficiency, making it harder for important commercial pages to receive authority and visibility.
First Page developed an SEO strategy focused on improving page clarity, user journeys and internal authority distribution.
The first priority was strategic testing across key pages. First Page tested content placement across important pages to determine where information should sit for the best balance of SEO relevance, user clarity and conversion potential.
Next, the team streamlined and refined site navigation. This helped improve user flow, reduce friction and make the website easier for both users and search engines to understand.
First Page also implemented a comprehensive internal linking strategy. Internal links were used to concentrate authority across high-value pages, helping priority pages gain stronger visibility for commercial search terms.
Finally, page-level content was aligned with user intent to reduce cannibalisation and improve keyword targeting. This gave each page a clearer purpose and helped search engines better understand which pages should rank for specific search themes.
